Synergy Movement was created and developed by Ruth Ann Dargan in 1994. Synergy Movement is a uniquely integrated practice which involves the human spirit by tuning and toning the body and channeling all aspects of the mind into one distilled focal point.

Synergy Movement programs are new approach to physical conditioning. Synergy Movement holistically empowers, strengthens, generates self-confidence, allows for stress management and creates inner peace. The result is, an enhanced self-conscious, self-directed you.

Synergy Movement is a complimentary infusion of the essential principles of movement education, rehabilitation, observations of biomechanics, Yoga, Pilates and psychology and psychotherapy. The body and mind are seen as inseparably linked as the wind makes the patterns in the sand so too does the mind make its patterns in the body.

In 1991, after unplugging her accounting calculator, Ruth traveled to South East Asia for a year to follow her hearts passion and make clearer for her the understanding of the evolving human spirit. Ruth’s travels took her through China, Hong Kong, Thailand, Nepal and Northern India. Country to country the objective was the same; experience the essence beneath the sacred wisdom in this part of the world. She spent the year studying, participating and visiting numerous temples, shrines and sacred establishments of worship.

Ruth has attained a Bachelors degree in Psychology from York University. She is also a certified Personal Trainer, as well as holding the distinction of Reiki Master and third degree in Therapeutic Touch.

Ruth’s dedicated Yoga and Meditation practice began in 1982 with almost every ones original inspirer, Lilia’s Folan. In 1998 she became certified with the 3HO institute and was given the name Guru Jai Kaur which means, “princess of the victorious guru”. In 1999 she also became certified in Cardiac and Cancer care Yoga with Nishala Devi.

Her qualifications and extensive background in counseling provides her with unique talents in developing and implementing programs for all levels and capabilities of participants. She has developed a strong commitment to promoting wellness.

Ruth has successfully motivated countless people to participate in Yoga and Pilates by living what she teaches and offering proven past experience. . Ruth provides unique themes and structures that allow individuals to meet their goals while respecting their capacity. She actively encourages individuals to explore feelings and emotions.
